There is no end to the America-killing insanity coming from our enemy elites in Washington, and on Monday, the Supreme Court stupidly shot down a provision of Arizona’s voting law—which was approved by a 2004 referendum of the state’s residents—that required people to prove they are citizens of the United States when registering to vote by mail.
Chief Justice John “Obamacare Turncoat” Roberts and Justices Antonin Scalia and Anthony Kennedy (who concurred in part and concurred in the judgment) joined the commie-left wing of the Court in the ruling. In part, the Court used Article 1, Section 4 of the Constitution to “justify” the decision:
The Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State by the Legislature thereof; but the Congress may at any time by Law make or alter such Regulations, except as to the Places of [choosing] Senators…
Can any rational person believe that when our Founding Fathers hammered out that passage, they in any way whatsoever intended it to mean that it is acceptable for Congress—or in this case the extra-congressional Election Assistance Commission—to prohibit states from requiring people to prove they are American citizens to register to vote? The idea is preposterous.
Justice Antonin Scalia wrote in his majority opinion:
States retain the flexibility to design and use their own registration forms, but the Federal Form provides a backstop: No matter what procedural hurdles a state’s own form imposes, the Federal Form guarantees that a simple means of registering to vote in federal elections will be available.
Our right to vote is a precious one, but nowhere in the Constitution did our Founders say we must guarantee a “simple means of registering to vote,” after all, there was no “voter registration” at the founding of our nation. However, as it stood, Arizona’s law requiring proof of citizenship was not an undue or complex burden on the people. From the Court’s Opinion are listed the proof of citizenship documents accepted byArizona for voter registration by mail:
(1) a photocopy of the applicant’s passport or birth certificate, (2) a driver’s license number, if the license states that the issuing authority verified the holder’s U. S. citizenship, (3) evidence of naturalization, (4) tribal identification, or (5) “[o]ther documents or methods of proof . . . established pursuant to the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986.”
Which of us legal U.S. citizens could not easily provide one of those proofs? There is nothing wrong with Arizona’s law, and it is in harmony with the federal requirement that voters must be U.S.citizens, but this bad Supreme Court ruling is simply another step in the dismantling of our formerly free Republic, paving the way for the cementing of the Third World invasion. Oh, yeah, let’s just trust people to “swear” they are U.S.citizens—no way should Arizona be allowed to make them prove it! Idiocy!
This is coming at the same time the amnesty wickedness is being steamrolled through the Senate, with a number of Republicans, including the despicable Marco Rubio (who we once gullibly liked), ignorantly supporting it, to the outrage of the majority of legal American citizens.
Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito were the two voices of reason, each writing a true and proper dissent to the putrid Opinion. Justice Thomas writes:
Congress has no role in setting voter qualifications, or determining whether they are satisfied, aside from the powers conferred by the Fourteenth, Fifteenth, Nineteenth, Twenty-Fourth, and Twenty-Sixth Amendments, which are not at issue here. This power is instead expressly reposed in the States.
The history of the Voter Qualifications Clause’s [Article 1, Section 2, clause 1] enactment confirms this conclusion. The Framers did not intend to leave voter qualifications to Congress. Indeed, James Madison explicitly rejected that possibility:
“The definition of the right of suffrage is very justly regarded as a fundamental article of republican government. It was incumbent on the convention, therefore, to define and establish this right in the Constitution. To have left it open for the occasional regulation of the Congress would have been improper.” The Federalist No. 52, at 323 (emphasis added).
Congressional legislation of voter qualifications was not part of the Framers’ design.
Elsewhere in his dissent, Justice Thomas notes:
Arizona sets citizenship as a qualification to vote, and it wishes to verify citizenship, as it is authorized to do under Article 1, §2. It matters not whether the United States has specified one way in which it believes Arizona might be able to verify citizenship; Arizona has the independent constitutional authority to verify citizenship in the way it deems necessary.
… By requiring Arizona to register people who have not demonstrated to Arizona’s satisfaction that they meet its citizenship qualification for voting, the NVRA, as interpreted by the Court, would exceed Congress’ powers under Article I, §4, and violate Article 1, §2.
Justice Alito puts it clearly, as he states in his dissent:
The Court reads an ambiguous federal statute in a way that brushes aside the constitutional authority of the States and produces truly strange results.
Under the Constitution, the States, not Congress, have the authority to establish the qualifications of voters in elections for Members of Congress. See Art. I, §2, cl. 1 (House); Amdt. 17 (Senate). The States also have the default authority to regulate federal voter registration. See Art. I, §4, cl. 1. Exercising its right to set federal voter qualifications, Arizona, like every other State, permits only U. S. citizens to vote in federal elections, and Arizona has concluded that this requirement cannot be effectively enforced unless applicants for registration are required to provide proof of citizenship. According to the Court, however, the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 (NVRA) deprives Arizona of this authority. I do not think that this is what Congress intended.
It’s sickening that only two justices got this one right. We’re in scary times here in America, and they’re getting scarier by the minute. Those of us who are truly watching can easily see that our nation has been taken over by evil people who are systematically undoing the foundation of our country. But, it’s not like Barack Obama (or whatever his name is) didn’t warn us that he was set to fundamentally transform the United States of America; it’s just that too few of us knew what a breathtakingly diabolical statement that was and that he did indeed mean it. In fact, it’s one of the very few truthful things Obama has ever said to us.

Of course, it’s hard to resist being cynical. It’s a daily battle to keep hardening of the heart from setting in. The horrific deluge of wickedness gushing from the Obama administration is almost enough to make even the most seasoned patriot want to check out. But, even in the face of what is clearly the ongoing, deliberate destruction of our American Republic by enemies within, checking out is not an option.
Many of us have been warning, shouting from the rooftop for years now, that we have a criminal administration in Washington that is waging a not-so-bloodless coup against our federal government, military and all our major institutions. It’s nice that Rush Limbaugh is now finally using the c-word to describe what the devilish Barack Obama (or whatever his name is) and his equally sinister buddies in power are doing to the United States, but it’s awfully late at this point.
By no means will those of us who cherish our formerly free Republic stop fighting to reclaim it, but those of us who are Christians know that these dreadful things must come to pass. The Lord has forewarned us of the terrible times at the end of this age. While none of us can know the exact time of the end, Jesus told us the signs of the last days in Matthew 24.
One thing is certain. The Word of God will come to pass, every bit of it. That means that the end times prophecies of global governance by Satan’s forces will be put in place. The pieces of the puzzle are falling together as we see the astounding technology revealed, technology that falls in line with the prophecies of global power and surveillance in Daniel and Revelation. After all, in days gone by, how could anyone imagine a way for a world ruler to compel all men to worship the beast and his image? There was no global communication, much less any “all-seeing,” globally powerful government entity.
In Revelation 13, John records part of the vision Jesus showed him, a vision containing future, advanced technology that John could never have conceived:
11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.
12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.
13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,
14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.
While we may not yet be able to understand the full meaning of those verses, because some of the knowledge in them remains to be revealed, one thing is certain; there is some keenly high-tech, even supernatural, activity in that passage of Scripture. The power to make “fire come down from heaven,” to make every person in the world take a “mark” in his body and worship the beast and not be able to buy or sell without the mark—all these things are now quite possible, as we know, “thanks” to ultra-modern technology.
We are watching our own enemy federal government collecting information on all of us. I have long believed that every keystroke we make on our computer keyboards is being recorded. Of course I could never prove it; I just knew that the capability existed and that evil men with unchecked power would not hesitate to use it. We now know that the surveillance goes way beyond what most people imagined.
What is the purpose of this monitoring? Is it to catch terrorists? While deterring terrorists and other kinds of criminals is part of it, I am certain that the bigger picture, especially with the criminal communists currently in power in the United States, is to categorize every person, to place each of us on an “us” or “them” list. Are you for them or against them? They know.
Do you remember shortly after Obama was installed in the presidency back in 2009 that his administration began using Census Bureau foot soldiers to mark the front door of every residence in the United States with Global Positioning System (GPS) coordinates? That was just the beginning of the astonishing expansion of comprehensive surveillance of the American people by what has proven to be the most corrupt, purely evil administration in American history.
From our phone and Internet records, to our medical records, to our DNA, to our movements in our GPS-“black box”-equipped vehicles while carrying our GPS-equipped “smart phones,” to our electronic purchases with debit or credit cards, to appliances, televisions and other in-home products that spy on us, to street, drone and satellite camera views, and so much more, there is almost nothing hidden from the prying eyes of Satan’s emerging global government.
Yes, as sickening and painful as all this is, these things must be. The massive surveillance network being revealed is only a small tip of the enormous iceberg. Dark days are upon us, and they’re going to get unimaginably darker as this lost and dying world under Satan’s rule spins inexorably toward God’s final judgment. This does not mean that we will ever stop resisting the evil that covers our nation and world. No, we will not stop fighting it, but we must remember that the Lord warned us of these things long ago, so that when they began to come to pass, we would remember His words and work to stay sharp and ready for His return.
The formerly free Republic of the United States of America is terminally ill, and while America’s patriots will continue to fight for freedom against the forces of tyranny that have commandeered our federal government and military and laid a mammoth surveillance dragnet across our nation and world, ultimately the god of this world, Satan, already stands judged, and his time is short.
Let the people of God the Father through Jesus His Son not lose heart and stand firmly on the Rock, Who is Jesus, because in the very end, thanks to Him, we win.

We all love a story with a happy ending, and we may see one unfold inColorado. After recent mass shootings in the United States were exploited by the Left to push gun control, Colorado Democrats quickly jumped with all-fours on ramming gun control legislation through the majority-Democrat state legislature. The new laws, set to take effect in July, mandate a low limit on magazine capacity, as well as universal background checks on all gun sales and transfers (even temporary transfers), to be paid for by the ones getting checked.
In the wake of this outrageous assault on law-abiding Colorado residents’ Second Amendment-protected right to keep and bear arms, the people are fighting back, working to rid the State Senate of a couple of the lawmaker perpetrators.
On Sunday, Valerie Richardson of the Washington Times reported:
Colorado was the first Western state to tighten restrictions on firearms purchases, but the backlash against the Democrat-backed legislation has rocked the state. Two firearms manufacturers have announced their intention to relocate, while 55 of 62 county sheriffs have filed a lawsuit challenging a newly approved law limiting magazine capacity to 15 rounds.
Two Democrats have been targeted by recall drives: [State Senate Leader John] Morse of Colorado Springs and state Sen. Angela Giron of Pueblo. Signatures in the Giron recall are due June 10. Another two recall efforts fizzled shortly after they began.
Predictions are that the Morse recall is all but certain to qualify for the ballot, after which analysts anticipate a political dogfight featuring millions in campaign spending from national special-interest heavyweights.
… The Giron recall effort has a higher bar to clear in the heavily Democratic district, but organizer Victor Head says Pueblo residents are fuming over the gun legislation. The campaign needs to collect 11,285 valid signatures to put Ms. Giron on the ballot.
“We’re doing really well. We’re right on track to meet our ultimate goal, which is 25 percent above what we need,” Mr. Head said. “We’ve got lots of bipartisan support for this. About 60 percent of the people signing the petition are Democrats, which is really interesting.”
This is encouraging, partly because this is one of those rare issues on which many people on both sides of the political divide agree. While the majority of elected officials who are pushing this gun control tripe are on the communist Democrat Left, the people of the United States who oppose it are not just right-wingers, not by a long shot.
In reading the Washington Times report, I was reminded of another Democrat woman politician from Colorado, U.S. Rep. Diana DeGette, who, earlier this year, made a profoundly ignorant and embarrassing statement revealing her glaring lack of gun knowledge.
J. D. Heyes, writing at Natural News on April 6th, stated:
Democratic Rep. Diana DeGette of Colorado has been a leading congressional sponsor of a federal ban on high-capacity magazines for years, even calling it one of her top priorities. With that said, you would assume, then, that this esteemed member of the House would at least have a base of knowledge about how such devices work – right?
Well, if you assumed that you’d be wrong.
At an April 2 forum on gun control that was hosted by The Denver Post, “the senior congresswoman from Denver appeared to not understand how guns work,” the paper said.
When she was asked how a ban on magazines holding more than 15 bullets would be an effective deterrent to gun violence, this is what the brainiac said:
“I will tell you these are ammunition, they’re bullets, so the people who have those know they’re going to shoot them, so if you ban them in the future, the number of these high capacity magazines is going to decrease dramatically over time because the bullets will have been shot and there won’t be any more available.”
This woman is not the local meter maid; she’s a United States Congressman, and sadly, there are actually people who vote for her. Mr. Heyes nicely summed up why the breath-taking stupidity of this woman matters:
This is really just another example of a liberal, left-wing, gun-banning idiot being clueless in general about firearms and the issues surrounding them, which is by choice, by the way. If she really gave a damn about the chief civil rights issue of our day – the right to protect ourselves – she would better educate herself about guns, the Second Amendment, and why it was important enough to our founders to be second on the list of the Bill of Rights.

Meanwhile, we hope and pray that the story of this recall effort will have a happy, successful ending in ridding the Colorado State Senate of two of its gun control tyrants. Regardless, we must not stop fighting these leftists—whether they’re Democrat or Republican—in our local, state and federal governments, fighting them on all the freedom-robbing, tyranny-imposing battle fronts we face. We will continue to declare from the founding of our nation that “…the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.” And we will work to make it so.

We have not forgotten the 2007 McCain-Kennedy amnesty bill that was killed in the face of intense outrage from the American people. Since then, we have seen a communist administration, under Barack Obama (or whatever his name is), assume power in the United States, and among the myriad of impeachable crimes and malfeasance of his administration, we have seen an explosion of lawlessness from the feds in regard to the illegal alien invasion of our country.
This administration has engaged in criminal conduct by granting amnesty through presidential edict to certain illegal aliens. It has refused to police and secure our border. It has spit on the rule of our immigration laws. It has refused to deport illegal aliens when they have been caught. It has released jailed criminal aliens onto the streets, claiming it was necessary because of “sequester” budget “cuts;” however, as all of the ridiculous Democrat “sequester” charades were meant to do, this was just designed to gin up anger at Republicans who support lower federal government spending.
If we were outraged back in 2007 at the McCain-Kennedy amnesty bill, we are now outraged to the hundredth power at the latest attempt by Congress to shove amnesty for illegal aliens down our throats.
Even worse, we have lately been hearing radio ads (with corresponding television spots) featuring Congressman Paul Ryan and Senator Marco Rubio who are touting Senate Bill 744, which is euphemistically titled, “Border Security, Economic Opportunity, and Immigration Modernization Act.”
I know I’m not the only one who is incensed at hearing these radio ads aired during Rush Limbaugh’s show and possibly other national conservative talk radio shows, although I have only noticed them prominently featured in heavy rotation on Rush’s network. The organization that created the spots is called, “Americans for a Conservative Direction,” and its board of directors includes Haley Barbour, our former Republican Governor here inMississippi. Thanks a lot, Gov. Barbour—not!
From the group’s home page is this statement:
Our country has a broken immigration system and a broken border, both of which present huge obstacles to the businesses, job creators, and legal immigrants who have played by the rules and will help continue to grow our economy. It’s well past time for Congress to get to work on real solutions to secure our border, hold those who have broken our laws accountable, and improve our legal immigration system to meet our country’s needs and boost America’s competitiveness in a global economy.
These are lies. Our country does not have a “broken immigration system.” It has a lawless administration that refuses to enforce existing immigration and visa laws and a strong border. This is not brain surgery. There is no need for another mammoth 844-page, outrageously expensive piece of legislation ostensibly designed to “fix” what isn’t broken. We already have “real solutions” to secure the border. The problem is that our criminal administration in Washington won’t employ them.
The claims in a television version of the “conservative” amnesty ads featuring Rubio were roundly debunked by the Center for Immigration Studies.
Rep. Steve King (R-IA) told CNS News that this monster bill destroys the rule of law. At least we have a few Republican voices out there that are not in lockstep with “Republicans” like Ryan and Rubio who are trying to peddle snake oil amnesty to the American people by pounding us with these fake “conservative” ads that insult our intelligence by declaring this disastrous amnesty bill to be a very good thing for our country, when it is no such thing.

King and other House Republicans said on Monday that they offered “another viewpoint” from Republicans who believe amnesty is necessary for the GOP following the 2012 election. He said the bill is “being stampeded” without enough scrutiny.
“The people on the other side of the aisle, they want amnesty for a number of reasons, the biggest one it’s a big political boost for them,” King said. “I don’t understand why Republicans think it’s a good idea, but somehow they’ve bought into this idea.”
He also said the bill is a “terrible idea” from an economic perspective. “At no stage in their lives does the universe of those who would receive amnesty make a net financial contribution to this country,” King said. “At no stage. Not a single year.”
A member of the House Subcommittee on Immigration and Border Security, King cited the Heritage Foundation’s recent report by Robert Rector and Jason Richwine that found granting amnesty to illegal immigrants would add $6.3 trillion to the federal deficit and $9.4 trillion in government benefits to the newly minted citizens.
Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.) has also warned that the bill gives Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Janet Napolitano “virtually unlimited discretion to waiver” prohibitions on obtaining legal status, such as criminal activity or previous deportation.
“The big question I would pose out there is, why?” King said. “Why is that 844-page bill, why is it good for America and Americans?”
“I can’t get that answer on why it’s good for us,” he said.
We are simply in a re-run picture of “Amnestyville Horror,” only this time many more Republicans are stupidly going along with it, very much against the will of the American people.
And to further rub our faces in this un-American, third world invasion nonsense, the so-called “conservative” Haley Barbour amnesty group is flooding Rush Limbaugh’s show with these moronic Ryan-Rubio ads. Rush is certainly free to take advertising money from whoever he wishes, but I wish he would reject these stinking spots. We’ve been sick of hearing them since we heard the very first one.
Message to Ryan and Rubio from the majority of the American people: Take your fake “conservative” support for amnesty, stick it in your pipe, and smoke it, because we weren’t buying it back in 2007, and we’re certainly not buying it now.

You may have read, or seen a film version of, Richard Condon’s deeply disturbing 1959 novel The Manchurian Candidate. The story, set during the Korean War, is about a platoon kidnapped by the Chinese and Soviets, taken to Manchuria, exquisitely brainwashed, and then released. Sgt. Raymond Shaw, one of those kidnapped, becomes an unwitting assassin tool of the communists in their efforts to install their agents (Shaw’s evil mother and his senator stepfather) in the United States presidency. Fortunately the coup attempt fails when Shaw’s platoon commander, Maj. Bennett Marco, who was also captured, breaks through his own brainwashing and uncovers the hidden truth.
I have heard Barack Obama (or whatever his name is) compared to Raymond Shaw or called the Manchurian President. While some may scoff at this idea, can it truly be that far off the mark? Obama does not appear to be “brainwashed” in a Manchurian Candidate sense, but he was most certainly indoctrinated with anti-American, communist-Muslim ideology while growing up, and he is hatefully imposing his diabolical world view on the United States. Both Islam and communism are antithetical to the foundations and freedoms of the United States of America.
While Obama’s leftist ideology is on display daily, it’s getting terribly old hearing conservative commentators complaining that Obama and his administration are “incompetent” and that they are “mishandling” situations. They are not incompetent mishandlers. They are malicious. They are lawless. They are anti-American. It is plain to see that they are purposely destroying this nation’s military and defense structure, its economy and the freedoms of the American people with assaults on our God-given rights to freedom of religion, association and self-defense. They are abolishing our borders. They are deliberately overloading the welfare, disability and other “entitlement” programs in order to break us (just as Cloward and Piven taught them), as they work to impose their communist agenda.
There is no doubt in the minds of those who are paying attention that our nation has experienced a communist coup of the federal government and military. This is not something that just happened with Obama’s installation in the presidency in 2008 (although it has seen a nitrous oxide jolt since then). This has been a slow, steady infiltration over much of the last century. As the people of America have increasingly turned away from God’s moral foundation and to an ever-growing selfish depravity, the communists have been able to more and more easily worm themselves into all our institutions—the schools, the entertainment industry, corporate entities, and our federal, state and local governments—these people are deeply embedded everywhere.
Not everyone wants to use the term “communist” in describing people like Obama, those in his administration and many members of Congress. I use it because it fits. While Marxists claim that communism means that the classes are abolished and there is common ownership of property and the means of production, in practical application, this is not true. Communist regimes abolish private property and collect only to the ruling class, ownership and control of the means of production, distribution and power over the people. The Marxist “utopian” vision of communism does not translate to the real world, except as tyranny.
So, now we are finally seeing last fall’s September 11th Muslim murders of our Ambassador and three others getting some press and some hard looks from Republicans. That’s fine, but what we have here is a situation in which the President of the United States—because it most certainly is on his damned head—ordered that our men in Benghazi be left to Muslim murderers. In doing this Obama gave aid, comfort and cover to our enemies in Libya. We have a name for this. It is treason.
We also have the administration hoping to distract us from Benghazi by throwing an Internal Revenue Service (IRS) circus in front of our faces. This targeting of conservative groups by the IRS has been going on basically since the Tea Party was born. It’s not new news. But, there is likely a method to their evil madness. Whether they’re hoping to distract us from their Benghazi crimes or to do damage control for the IRS’s image (futile though that may be), here is yet another example of Obama’s high crimes, because the buck stops with him. This is Obama’s IRS, and this kind of Stalinesque targeting of his political enemies is against the law here in the United States of America, as are many other things he and his administration have done.
No, Obama is not incompetent. He’s an enemy of America who is occupying our presidency. He’s malicious, and he belongs in prison for the numerous crimes he has committed before and after being installed in the White House.
It’s far past time for Congress to bring impeachment charges and to convict the Manchurian President, the criminal fraud, “Barack Hussein Obama.”

Liberals are masters of hypocrisy, and when it comes to freedom of speech, they valiantly embrace the old double standard. They’ll bring lawsuits till the cows come home to defend some pervert’s “right” to distribute pornography or other offensive materials to the public or to engage in displays of nudity and obscenity on public streets, even though children may be present, but they’ll fight like maniacs against public displays of pro-life messages and disturbing images of aborted babies, because—they claim—children might see them and be upset.
We have seen numerous cases in which leftists have prevailed at gaining court permission for “teachers” to use profanity in the classroom, to discuss all kinds of sexual behavior and obscenity and to expose children to homosexual indoctrination during school hours. We have seen cases in which courts have determined that children have a “First Amendment right” to play violent video games that contain gruesome, gory imagery like amputation, decapitation, and dismemberment, as well as sexual intercourse.
All this is good and well to the Left, but when it comes to pictures of aborted babies, now there’s something they believe should be outlawed to protect “children’s sensibilities”!
On March 4th, The Thomas More Society filed a petition of the Supreme Court to hear such a case. From the Society’s report:
… Chicago’s Thomas More Society petitioned the U.S. Supreme Court to review and overturn a Colorado state court decree barring Denver pro-lifers from “displaying large posters or similar displays depicting gruesome images of mutilated fetuses or dead bodies in a manner reasonably likely to be viewed by children under 12 years of age attending worship services…at plaintiff church.” The church, Denver’s St. John’s Church in the Wilderness, was picketed several years ago by Ken Scott, Clifton Powell, and others during an outdoor Palm Sunday procession for having “go[ne] astray from the original teachings of the Bible” and for “supporting abortion.”
The “gruesome images” ban was entered in a lawsuit for private nuisance and civil conspiracy filed by the church after Scott and Powell held graphic signs featuring photos of aborted human beings on a public sidewalk across the street from the outdoor procession. This upset parishioners – including children – as they processed on the opposite sidewalk. Scott and Powell had given prior notice of their protest, and they did not enter the church, go onto church property, or disturb the services inside the church where their protest couldn’t be heard. No violence, trespass, physical obstruction, or criminal conduct occurred. Police were present, and neither Scott, nor Powell, nor any other protester was cited for any noise or other law violation.
Despite recognizing that the “gruesome images” ban was a content-based restriction on speech, the Colorado’s Appellate Court upheld it as “narrowly tailored” to serve a “compelling government interest,” namely, “protecting children from exposure to certain images of aborted fetuses and dead bodies.” Colorado’s Supreme Court denied review, but Chief Justice Michael Bender and Associate Justice Allison Eid dissented.
So, we have a leftist, Episcopal “church” that supports abortion, and we have a group of pre-born life defenders who are protesting that church’s stance. Any church that supports abortion is not a church of Jesus Christ. You cannot claim to be in the body of Christ and at the same time approve of killing pre-born babies. The two positions are mutually exclusive.
What about the gruesome images? Oh, they’re certainly offensive on the deepest, most visceral level. They stir revulsion in the hearts of those who see them, as well they should. Even people who support abortion can be moved by the obscene image of a mutilated, aborted human baby.
Our world has a history of people using disturbing images to push for societal reforms. As the report from the Thomas More Society notes, photographs of lynching victims and the mutilated body of black teenager, Emmett Till, caused such public outrage that the Civil Rights Movement was propelled forward.
The Society report also notes:
Photos of Holocaust victims “similarly helped show the evil of Nazism in ways words could not easily convey.” Other examples cited in the Petition include photos of a Buddhist monk immolating himself in Vietnam, a napalmed Vietnamese girl running in terror along a highway, and a terrorist being shot by a general – all of which impacted national policy on the Vietnam War. More recently, Time magazine’s cover boldly depicted the brutal disfigurement of an Afghan woman – a controversial step defended by Time’s editor who said he “would rather confront readers with the Taliban’s treatment of women than ignore it.”
In his March 8th report on this story, Matt C. Abbott quoted Frank Pavone, who is the national director of Priests for Life, as pointing out the unconstitutionality of the Colorado court’s ruling and the need for the world to see these kinds of images:
It doesn’t take years of law school to see the unconstitutional nature of this Colorado decree, especially given the fact that free speech is protected precisely because the speaker often needs protection from those who will try to shut down his message because it is disturbing.
… The need to disturb the public with graphic images of abortion, furthermore, is simply another incarnation of a longstanding history of social reform in which reformers have disturbed the public with images of slaves in the slave ships, or children in sordid working conditions in mines and factories, or holocaust victims, or the damage smoking does to the lungs, or the disastrous results of drunk driving. The list goes on and on. One cannot rationally ban ‘gruesome images of mutilated fetuses or dead bodies’ without striking a blow against the entire history of social reform.
And that’s the point about the use of these images. It is not a question of whether we like to use them. It is a question of whether history teaches us any principles of social reform, and whether there is reason to think that the pro-life movement is somehow exempt from those principles.
Here is the bottom line on why the Left opposes the display of gruesome photographs of aborted babies: it exposes the obscenely grotesque reality of abortion. Americans are not used to actually seeing the truth of what it means to abort a baby. For many people, “out of sight and out of mind” means not fully comprehending the barbaric evil that is abortion. There are truly no words that can convey this reality as these horrible images do.
The devil-inspired Left is fully dedicated to preserving the practice of killing pre-born babies, and they know that the freedom to show the ugly face of abortion will only reduce public support for it. So, they fight against that freedom.
In the twisted minds of leftists, it’s fine for children to be exposed to abominable, public displays of blatant, sacrilegious obscenity like the homosexual Folsom Street Fair in San Francisco, but when it comes to defending pre-born human life, pictures worth a thousand words should be outlawed. The hypocrisy is sickening.

Besides the seemingly endless list of outrages coming out of the current administration and Congress, we have a man in the presidency who regularly tells bold, filthy lies, not that other presidents haven’t lied, but this one takes the all-time cake for quantity. His interminable lying is bad enough, but then we have the sorry things he does to disgrace the office he holds. Barack Obama (or whatever his name is) has spit on the office of President of the United States in so many ways, and this past week he added some more.
Last Friday, he became the first sitting President to address the mammoth abortion factory, Planned Parenthood. His words can only be described as evil as he praised and defended one of the world’s largest baby-killing machines and even added his wicked wish that God would “bless” Planned Parenthood. Only a man with a dead soul would say such a hellish thing.
It attests to his brazen disregard for the sanctity of human life and his utter disrespect for common decency and the office of President that he would stoop to the level of lending his presence to this death-worship gathering during the apex of the trial of Kermit Gosnell, the barbarian accused of murdering babies and a woman in his Philadelphia abortion “clinic.”
Obama also demeaned the office of President on Monday by lending his cheering support, by personal phone call, to Jason Collins, the National Basketball Association player who decided to make a scene (and maybe jump-start his unremarkable career) by announcing that he is a homosexual. Obama shows where his twisted heart lies by publicly supporting a man who puts his sexual sin on parade.
Obama is a sick “leader,” but he is only a symptom of a sick nation. Only a nation with metastasized cancer of the soul would end up with a “President” like Obama. This nation celebrates sin and vilifies God and His followers. It’s upside-down and falling. We can’t possibly expect things to go well for America when so many lost people among us aggressively work to eliminate the Lord from public mention or public sight while they enthusiastically embrace all manner of sins which they shove in our faces.
Of course, many of us are deeply opposed to what’s happening around us in our nation, government, schools and institutions. Many of us look to the Lord for our salvation, and we pray for our families, friends and country. But, the body of Christ has failed to stop the evil tide that has washed over this nation and embedded itself in our culture. Too many of us have waited until the national cancer is terminal to begin to speak out against the societal rot that has crumbled our nation’s foundations.
Our nation is celebrating sodomy, celebrating people who “proudly” declare their sexual perversions for the entire world to see. The President of the United States—along with his wife, former Democrat President Bill Clinton and other high-profile people—has proclaimed this to be a great thing, something to be applauded, something courageous. It’s none of those things. It’s sick.
Our military is being forced to accept “out-and-proud” homosexual members, while the Pentagon has announced that Christian military members can now be punished with court martial or other measures if they share their Christian faith with others.
So… Obama’s civilian appointees who lead the Pentagon are confirming that the military will make it a crime–possibly resulting in imprisonment–for those in uniform to share their faith. This would include chaplains—military officers who are ordained clergymen of their faith (mostly Christian pastors or priests, or Jewish rabbis)–whose duty since the founding of the U.S. military under George Washington is to teach their faith and minister to the spiritual needs of troops who come to them for counsel, instruction, or comfort.
This regulation would severely limit expressions of faith in the military, even on a one-to-one basis between close friends. It could also effectively abolish the position of chaplain in the military, as it would not allow chaplains (or any service members, for that matter), to say anything about their faith that others say led them to think they were being encouraged to make faith part of their life. It’s difficult to imagine how a member of the clergy could give spiritual counseling without saying anything that might be perceived in that fashion.
And, the vicious, beady-eyed Left attempts to ridicule anyone who points out that there is a war on Christianity. This is only the latest in myriad examples of attacks on Christians and their faith by Satan’s foot soldiers in America.
Meanwhile, as Obama’s Pentagon decides to shred the God-given, constitutionally protected rights of our Christian and Jewish military members, Obama himself hypocritically signs the order for this year’s National Day of Prayer, in which he states:
All of us have the freedom to pray and exercise our faiths openly. Our laws protect these God-given liberties, and rightly so. Today and every day, prayers will be offered in houses of worship, at community gatherings, in our homes, and in neighborhoods all across our country. Let us give thanks for the freedom to practice our faith as we see fit, whether individually or in fellowship.
Where the heck did that come from, and how does it square with his Pentagon’s stance? I know it doesn’t square. Nothing with this two-faced administration does.
Regardless, Thursday May 2nd is the National Day of Prayer. Our nation needs prayer every day of every year, but this is a good reminder to those of us who have a relationship with the Lord that we should spend much more precious prayer time, petitioning our Father in Heaven, through His Son Jesus, for His mercy on this undeserving nation and to give us strength to stand firmly in Him. Prayer is truly our most potent weapon and a strong defense against a world of spiritual evil and the ever-darkening days we face. Let’s use that weapon ceaselessly.

Those of us who pay attention, who are not doing the zombie shuffle through life, take polling results with more than a grain of salt. But, I found the results of a couple of post-Boston bombing, small-sample polls conducted by Fox News and the Washington Post to be interesting for what they say about our perception of the federal government.
On Sunday, WorldNetDaily’s Drew Zahn wrote a report in which he stated:
According to a pair of recent polls, for the first time since the 9/11 terrorist hijackings, Americans are more fearful their government will abuse constitutional liberties than fail to keep its citizens safe.
Even in the wake of the April 15 Boston Marathon bombing – in which a pair of Islamic radicals are accused of planting explosives that took the lives of 3 and wounded over 280 – the polls suggest Americans are hesitant to give up any further freedoms in exchange for increased “security.”
A Fox News survey polling a random national sample of 619 registered voters the day after the bombing found despite the tragic event, those interviewed responded very differently than following 9/11.
For the first time since a similar question was asked in May 2001, more Americans answered “no” to the question, “Would you be willing to give up some of your personal freedom in order to reduce the threat of terrorism?”
Of those surveyed on April 16, 2013, 45 percent answered no to the question, compared to 43 percent answering yes.
In May 2001, before 9/11, the balance was similar, with 40 percent answering no to 33 percent answering yes.
But following the terrorist attacks of 9/11, the numbers flipped dramatically, to 71 percent agreeing to sacrifice personal freedom to reduce the threat of terrorism.
He goes on to report similar findings in the Washington Post poll.
Even though both polls represent a very small sample of the American people, I am convinced by all I have seen and read that many more Americans today do indeed fear the federal government, and I believe they have very good cause to do so. Despite the despicable “mainstream” media’s desperate attempts to give cover to, and lie for, the most lawless administration in American history, plenty of us, using other information sources, are able to see through the detestable media’s putrid smokescreens.
We can see that Barack Obama (or whatever his name is) and the anti-American radicals in his administration and Congress have boundless contempt for the constitutional limits on their power. It is clear to many of us that we are watching a federal government that is systematically working to tear down this nation, its freedoms and foundations.
So, is the federal government scarier than Muslim terrorism? I say it most certainly is. While Islamic jihad is a danger to our nation, we can still stop it if our authorities are willing, but in the federal government, which is run by power-mad people, we are dealing with a nearly unstoppable entity that has the power to rain destruction on the entire nation, not just spot locations.
Further, Islamists and the communists running the federal government (Senator McCarthy was right, by the way) share the same hatred of America and its freedoms and the same hatred of Jesus Christ and His followers. How can I say that Obama and his fellow-traveling buddies in the administration and Congress hate America and its freedoms? By their actions, their inactions and their words.
In their words, these people routinely lie about their motives, about the evil goals of their legislation, about their political opposition and even the American people who oppose them, who they falsely label as “racists” or “right wing extremists.” In his words, Obama regularly trash-talks America, apologizing for what needs no apologies.
In their actions, we see their ceaseless attempts to impose a socialist form of government on our nation, in contradiction to our Constitution’s design for a representative republic. They are destroying our military in every way, including forcing it to accept open homosexuals and women in front-line combat.
We see their vile attempts to squash our God-given right to self-defense under the guise of “public safety.” We see the war they have waged on our God-given rights to freedom of religion with their hell-born “Obamacare” abortion coverage mandate and their push for sodomy “rights” and fake marriage that would subvert our freedom of religion, association and ultimately, speech.
In their inactions, we see their treasonous refusal to secure our nations borders and deport the criminal aliens among us. We see their stonewalling of investigations into their other criminal actions like the Fast and Furious Mexican gun running scandal and the Muslim murders of our Ambassador and others in Benghazi,Libya—murders aided by this administration.
These are just the tip of an America-hating iceberg of lawlessness perpetrated by these people currently in power, not that other administrations and congresses have not abused their power, but we’ve never seen anything like the current administration. There is no conclusion that I can draw other than the people running our federal government are enemies of America. Our nation has been overthrown by enemies within.
These people are on the side of the Islamists. Again, their actions show this—their support for the Muslim Brotherhood in the Middle East, and the outrageous purging of military and intelligence agencies of proper Muslim training materials at the demand of Islamist groups and Islamist “advisors” within the federal government. That says volumes about where this administration’s loyalties lie. They do everything they can to avoid even saying “Muslim terrorism.”
Since our “mainstream” media will never speak the truth about the Islamist infiltration of our nation and government, it took an Egyptian publication to report that the Obama administration has Muslim Brotherhood operatives at the highest levels.
America is in big trouble. I see the Lord’s judgment falling and the terrible storm gathering. The collective sins of our nation are coming home to roost. No nation can butcher pre-born—and even just-born—babies by the millions and not expect awful consequences. No nation can hope to avoid God’s judgment while it embraces and even “glorifies” homosexuality and its various manifestations, along with its militant assault on the freedoms of those who oppose it.
No, we should not be surprised to see the sorry state of the soul of America when the leaders in our government, schools, entertainment industry, and institutions all across the land have spit on the Lord and have shunned His wisdom, knowledge and commands for living our lives. We now have the federal government we have earned while we slept and allowed God to be outlawed as sin was made mandatory.
We are not surprised to see that the federal government is now a monster that is scarier than the Muslim terrorists among us.

It has been a gut-wrenching week, between the dead and wounded in the Muslim terrorist Boston bombings and the Texas fertilizer plant explosion and the head-spinning misinformation (and reported cover-up of a Saudi connection to Boston) coming out of Washington and the media. I’m reaching the point of overload, and so I want to turn away from the evil news of today and take a brief look into the timeless Word of God and the end times prophecies as they relate to Jesus’ return.
There has been something that has bothered me for quite some time. It is the pre-, or even mid-, tribulation “rapture” doctrine. It is the belief that Jesus is going to “snatch” His church away before the time of terrible tribulation under Antichrist’s global dominion. The enormous popularity of the Jenkins and LaHaye Left Behind novel series testifies to the great number of people who believe in the pre-tribulation rapture of the church, and those books did nothing but reinforce this belief.
What I’m going to say will offend many Christians who firmly believe in the pre-tribulation rapture: it is not supported by scripture. I will explain.
What made me decide to finally address this subject in a column was a radio program I heard while driving home from work last Friday afternoon. It was a sermon by Bob Martin, Senior Pastor of Challenge Ministries International. I was captivated by his message, wherein he addressed the very misgivings I have long had about the pre-tribulation rapture teaching. With Bible passage after Bible passage, Pastor Martin laid out the clear truth that Jesus will come back at the end of the tribulation period to gather his saints, first the dead and then those who remain alive, and then the wrath of God will descend on the heavens and earth. Thus, I was inspired to write a brief column on this heavily-debate subject.
According to the Bible, there are certain events that will happen before the return of Jesus. In 2 Thessalonians 2:1-4, Paul, by the Spirit of the Lord, says:
1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, 2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. 3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
Elsewhere, in Matthew 24:14, we read:
And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
In an article on the Challenge Ministries website titled, “The Antichrist, Christ and the Future,” Pastor Martin writes,
So, if words mean anything, and if the Bible is the inspired word of God, and I believe most firmly that it is, then two things must happen before the return of Christ to earth.
1.The Gospel must be preached to all nations. The Church has thus far failed in that regard, for that has not yet been done.
2.There will come an apostasy, a falling away of the church before Christ returns. (II Thess 2:1 – 5) Apostasy is not a catching away as in the rapture, but rather, a falling away as in back-sliding, a loss of first love as with the Church At Ephesus.. It is this luke-warmness of the church that allows the rise of the One World Order with its following cashless society and its One World Church, the end times Whore Church as revealed in Chapter 17 of the Book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ.
3.The revelation of the Man of Sin, the Antichrist if you will, precedes the second coming of Christ.
Jesus foretold this falling away of the church.
Matt 24:10-12 10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. 11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. 12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
So, we see from scripture, that, before Christ returns (1) The Gospel will have been preached to all nations, (Matt 24:14), (2) The church will have grown so lukewarm and so backslidden, she will have become apostate to the point that the Antichrist can make his appearance, (II Thess 2:1 – 5) and (3) the Antichrist will have appeared on the stage of the One World Government and will have assumed dictatorial powers over the nations.
… Make no mistake about it, this Satanic agenda of a One World Order with its resulting loss by nations, including America, of their sovereignty is very real, and moving inexorably towards future recognition.
Does the bible speak concerning this end time One World Order of Governance? Indeed it does. Both Daniel Chapter 7 and Revelation Chapter 13 speak very clearly concerning this end times, God opposing, oppressive government of Satan over the lives of men.
Revelation 13 and Daniel 7 are clearly speaking about the very last days of terrible tribulation under the global dominion of Satan’s man, the Antichrist. Both chapters declare that he is given power to make war against the saints and to overcome them. “Saints” are simply members of the body of Christ, those saved by the grace of Jesus through faith in Him alone. So, if the Antichrist, the beast, is given power to make war against the saints, that means that the saints are indeed present during his last days reign.
In Revelation 15:2-3, we read:
2 And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God. 3 And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvelous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints.
These are clearly Christians who “stood firm till the end” and resisted the power of Antichrist during the great tribulation. They did not bow to his image nor take his mark upon themselves, instead they remained faithful to the Lord.
In Matthew 24:29-31, Jesus clearly says that He will return after the tribulation. Later in Matthew 24 are verses that pre-tribulation rapture supporters point to as being the pre-tribulation rapture—the two grinding at the mill or in the field, and one is taken but the other left—but the context of those verses is in the time of the tribulation and of the second coming of Jesus, His only return before the wrath of God descends on the world.
There is simply no evidence in the Bible that Jesus is going to secretly return before his second coming to snatch His church away. I know it is a comforting thought for many Christians, the thought of “getting out of this deal” of unspeakable last days persecution, but Jesus does not tell us we will be spared being here for those days—those of us who are alive then, whenever “then” is.
Although it is a comforting thought, that we could escape the tribulation, I can see how that belief could leave Christians mentally and spiritually unprepared for the awful reality of those last days, since they do not expect to be here then. What a faith-shaking thing it might be!
However, this issue is not a make-or-break salvation issue. As Irvin Baxter, founder and president of End Time Ministries, points out:
The timing of the rapture seems to be the most controversial of all prophecy teachings. However, whether it will occur before, during, or after the tribulation has no bearing on your salvation. God can come for any one of us at any time. Jesus said in Matthew 24,
“Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.”

He only said what many clear-minded Americans likely think about our federal government’s dangerously stupid Middle Eastern visa and immigration policies, but boy did it get the leftist, Islamophile drones riled up!
Author, WorldNetDaily (WND) columnist and national conservative commentator, Erik Rush, posted a comment on Twitter in the wake of the Boston bombings, and it led to a small firestorm that became a tsunami after he posted a second, purely sarcastic comment that really tweaked the Left!
As WND’s Chelsea Schilling reported on Tuesday evening:
After the bombing Monday, Rush tweeted, “Everybody do the National Security Ankle Grabs! Let’s bring Saudis in without screening them! C’mon!”
Rush’s comment was in response to early reports from United Press International that a 20-year-old Saudi Arabian national had been a potential suspect in the double bombings. The Boston police later said the man wasn’t a suspect.
Rush told WND he received some hostile tweets following his initial speculation about the identity of the bomber.
“This was speculation, which everyone is doing,” Rush said. “That’s when the tweets started: ‘You’re blaming Muslims already? You scumbag!’
“After several of those, that’s when I was like, ‘Yeah, that’s right, they’re evil. Kill ‘em all.’
“And that’s all they needed.”
One of the drawbacks of the written word is that it can be difficult to impart sarcasm, because you cannot convey your tone of voice to go with what you write. Naturally, Mr. Rush’s quip sent the Left into a frenzy of foaming outrage. Not that it would matter to them that he was being sarcastic, but leftists either could not or would not grasp the sarcasm dripping from his statement, “Yes, they’re evil. Let’s kill them all.” In the context of what he had already written and the Left’s predictable reaction, I can easily detect his sarcasm, but that’s just me. He was clearly not literally calling for the killing of Muslims, but that did not matter to the screeching freaks of the Left.
After that second tweet, Mr. Rush was deluged with vicious, sick e-mails, comments on Twitter and his website, death threats, and hacks that crashed his website. His home was even “swatted” by someone who posed as him and called 911 saying that there were men in his home firing AK-47 rifles. Fortunately, the first officer on the scene was a friend of Mr. Rush’s, otherwise, that “swatting” incident could have been very bad news.
The leftist Right Wing Watch website had a brief report with the headline, “Erik Rush: Kill All Muslims in Response to Boston Marathon Attack.”
Sigh.
The Huffington Post called what Mr. Rush said a “Muslim joke.” Those tweets were not “Muslim jokes.” The first was clearly an expression of his frustration with our lax visa program which allows “visitors” from terror-sponsoring Muslim nations like Saudi Arabia, not to mention an open southern border through which Muslim terrorists can easily pass.
Neither was his second tweet a joke. It was a sarcastic response to the stupid outrage he was receiving from useful idiots who refuse to accept the fact that Muslims set off bombs and commit murderous attacks on a daily basis around the world. Because of their awful track record and history of hostile threats and attacks against America, it is reasonable to speculate that there is a good chance Muslims are behind the Boston bombings.
I don’t give a rip if that offends anyone. I’m sick of the suicidal, “politically correct” mentality that pervades our nation’s leftist media and governmental policies. I’m sick of hearing lies defending Islam. Islam has nothing to do with peace. It is a perverse, backward militant-political ideology that promotes interminable war against much of the world. Islam’s tenets, its Shariah mandates, are utterly incompatible with the freedoms and foundations of the United States. Islam is about oppression, not freedom.
I know the Left is desperately hoping the Boston bombers are white “right wing extremists” (whatever that means, since according to Homeland Security, I’m a right-wing extremist), but if the authorities nab a Muslim for this, we can bet that it will quickly be reported that he was a “lone wolf,” not affiliated with any larger Muslim terror group.
Returning to Erik Rush, Chelsea Schilling reported:
Rush said the local CBS affiliate covered the story and suggested he was trying to “defend” his tweet.
“I didn’t try to defend them,” he said. “They asked me, ‘If you had it to do over again, would you?’ And I was like, ‘Yeah, probably.’”
Despite all the media hoopla, Rush said the incident opened his eyes to the real enemy.
“This really sort of sheds light on who we’re dealing with, and I don’t just mean the Islamists,” he said. “I mean the people who are really willing to stand up for people who want to kill us versus American people. Of course, the stuff that I’m getting is: ‘We’re coming to kill you!’
“Other than the practical concerns, like for safety, it furthers my resolve as far as who’s the dirt bag and who isn’t.”
