Ladies and Gents, I give you the idiot better known as our Vice President, falling alseep during something that should be important to all of us.
Vice President “Big F#@!IN Deal” Biden visited a frozen custard store in Glendale, WI., and chided the manager for being a “Smartass”. The manager was asked how much was owed for the custard cone that Biden had, and the manager responded by saying “…it’s on us”. I guess Biden didn’t like the manager’s comment about lowering taxes, either…check this out:
The Vice President was in town to campaign for Senator Russ Feingold, who polls show running even with Republican challenger Ron Johnson. At a Friday fundraiser, Biden told a crowd of donors “there’s no possibility to restore 8 million jobs lost in the Great Recession.”
The title has a certain ring to it…a sickening ring. Vice President Joe Biden, in an interview with CBS’s “The Early Show”, defended the political-ally-pork-rewards program known as the Stimulus Bill as being a job saver, “saving” as many as 2 million jobs. If you’ve read my blog about how government reassigns jobs, you’ll see that the 2 million jobs our Vice President claims to have saved will cost us way more than we can possibly pay for, not to mention how many jobs it destroyed in the private sector.
This administration likes to use our first responders as pawns in their tax-and-spend game, as evidenced by the statement released by the White House Council of Economic Advisers. That statement says, “State fiscal relief really has kept hundreds of thousands of teachers and firefighters and first responders on the job”. In reality, local governments would have had to cut other positions to cut their budgets, because local governments would be pressured from the citizens not to cut first responder positions. That’s the reality.
Here’s another reality: While the stimulus bill provides money for teacher and firefighter salaries, those monies are a drop in the bucket compared to this list of PORK…..
- A $246 million tax break for Hollywood movie producers to buy motion picture film
- $75 million for “smoking cessation activities”
- $160 million for “paid volunteers” at the Corporation for National and Community Service
- $850 million for Amtrak
- $10 million to inspect canals in urban areas
The list goes on….green vehicles for the military, money for the census, more office space for more bureaucracies, etc.
You, your children, and your grandchildren will have to pay for all of this, plus interest.
So, how’s that hope and change working out for you?
